Information Systems Project Manager

As a key member of the Entrepreneurship team, this individual must be comfortable in a fast paced and innovative environment that emphasizes independent, creative and strategic thinking. Individuals own their projects and are expected to bring them to successful completion by using their specific skill sets and involving other members of the team when appropriate. In this group, being a solid team player is not a platitude; it is essential.
In addition to Entrepreneurship projects, the Information Systems Project Manager is responsible for certain aspects of technology throughout the foundation. Consequently, they must be comfortable working with people of all skill levels and juggling a number of tasks at one time.
Summary Description
This individual coordinates aspects of the foundation's technology services including product development and design, testing, purchasing, and data analysis and interpretation, as well as writes code for Web sites and operates multi-media software.
Information Systems
- Assists IT projects manager with the overall planning responsibilities for information technology services
- Interacts with leads on existing programs/services to drive Web-release strategy
- Helps internal operations utilize information systems to improve efficiency
- Helps review computer equipment, hardware and software needs
- Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems
New Products
- Assists with planning, designing, developing and implementing new products and business opportunities
- Responsible for completion of projects by setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities and monitoring and summarizing progress of projects
- Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis
Web Software/Database
- Designs, develops, implements, and troubleshoots software packages for Web sites using standard concepts, software and procedures. Working knowledge of Lasso, FileMaker, BBEdit, MySQL, PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database[s]
- Has knowledge of data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process
- Writes codes for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures (scripts)
- Knowledge of industry-standard graphic and multimedia software a plus. Position will provide support for graphic art and visual materials, as well as multimedia programs for Web sites and CD/DVD-ROMs, video, etc.
